DarkMarth's Stages

It has almost been a year since I have done any stage building. Due to the closure of Super Smash Bros. World, and the community's migration to the forums, most of my time here, at SWC, has been dedicated to helping put the final touches on the site (That, and my involvement in competitive play). But now that we have knocked out a ton of the things on our agenda, I think it's time I bring life to a series of brand new stages. That's right, new stages!

I have created a good amount of decent stages back in the day. Not to mention my very first one that managed to make the month's notable stages. Which at first I literally had no idea why it got tree, but later found out . But I think it's time I let new ideas come out of the shadows and into the light.

So, expect new stages to come in the near future.

Yup. At first, I thought about migrating my SBW stages. But then, I decided I'd just start out fresh. I'm glad I am finally getting back in the game though.


On a somewhat different topic, I was thinking about doing something similar to the Stages of the Month thing we used to do before. But I don't want to do make too similar. Just something that would give custom stages a chance to take the spotlight. We have ignored them for a long time.

But then again there really isn't much need for one, considering how often we post stages.

Well, it would provide more incentive to upload stages.

We could spotlight a single stage every month or something like that.

That might work. Another idea we could do is post a rather open ended theme on an announcement every month (say... Summer, for example). Then at the end of that month, we feature a stage or two that we think best suits the theme (through a majority vote, if needed).

That sounds more like a contest...

Well, kind of. Only think is, it will be a continuous thing. But it was just a thought that popped up in my head.

I've also been thinking about my stages and I will put up my topic soon. I've been playing ont hem to see which ones I want to keep. I need to clean out my stages section of my SD Card.

I, too, have been playing on some of my stages. I do want to revive some of them. But I think I'll start with originals first.
