Forum Subdivisions

I'm glad you set up these forums for us, DarkMarth, but they're subdivided about three times as much as necessary. You have to enter about three separate sub-forums to find any threads at all, and it makes navigating a serious pain. Do you think you could condense things a little? Or a lot?

I would agree with hali here. For example, if you click on the 'News and Speculation' topic, it will take you to 'News and Speculation' yet again, instead of splitting the topics after you click on it initially.

Also, there's gotta be a way to get rid of the 'Merry Christmas' when you hover over a topic.

I agree. Was actually planning on doing just that. I just never really had the time to do so. I'll start working on that.

Well, it's more condensed, but believe it or not, I'd like to see it even more condensed. Really, any subdivision that doesn't need to exist shouldn't. Ideally, you could get it down to no sub-forums at all*. Maybe I'm just picky, but that's the way I see it.

*Not to suggest there should be no specific categories, just that they should be more general. For example, one sub-forum for all speculations, not specific ones for different versions of Smash.

Well, I do want to keep things organized. So, I would have to disagree with the suggestion to remove all categories. But I will fix those duplicate sub-forums to make things more general.

Well, I'll agree organization is important, but readability is crucial to a forum, and every sub-forum you include hurts it a little more. It's important to decide what distinctions are absolutely necessary and weed out the ones that aren't needed.

I say it's fine the way it is. Later on there will be more to talk about and so we will be glad there is an organized method of access to the material.
